Congratulations to all the teams who recently completed the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) Love Belize Sea Kayak Challenge!
This was only the second time this event has happened - the first being last year.
The event took place over 6 days from Punta Gorda to Corozal in excess of 215 miles.
Wednesday, May 22, 2019, marked the start of the BTB Love Belize Sea Challenge. 14 teams departed Punta Gorda at 6 am in the morning and were blessed with good weather.
There are five stops in total along the BTB Love Belize Sea Challenge Route not including the start-off point.
The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) and Love FM, a local Belize radio station, have teamed up to offer this amazing 6 day sea kayak race, the BTB Love Belize Sea Challenge.
This sea kayak contest is taking place from May 22 to 27, 2019, with a paddling route that stretches from the southern region of Belize to the northern, totalling over 190 miles. Teams participating in the race will have an opportunity to see Belize from an up-close and local perspective. As paddlers make their way up the coast they will be able to experience the rich cultural history of the local communities.
