On Arrival in Belize
The Belize International Airport (BZE) is easy to navigate. After immigration, you collect your bags and move through the customs area. The whole process can take up to an hour. Porters are standing in clear view, but it is a very short distance to where we meet you. Please be aware porters are not employed by the Airport Authority, they can be pushy and they will charge $2 to $4 for each bag - you are not obligated to use their services.

I am beginning my IE adventure with the Maya World Extension
After passing through Customs, immediately exit the Airport building to your right. An Island Expeditions’ representative from Birds Eye View Lodge will be here to meet you on Day 1 at the time confirmed with our Canadian head office. As guests are arriving on different flights please be patient as we connect with all the travellers on your transfer. The drive time to the lodge is approximately one hour. If you do not see our driver within twenty minutes, please contact our Dangriga office at 522-3328 or 522-0078 to let us know your status.

I am beginning my IE adventure with the Rainforest Canopy Extension
This Extension begins with a transfer from Dangriga or from elsewhere in Belize as arranged through our office at the time of booking. The transfer from Dangriga will be coordinated from the Dangriga Airport or our Dangriga Operations Base. If you are joining the Rainforest Canopy Extension from independent travel, please contact our Dangriga office at 522-3328 the day before you are scheduled to meet up with us.
Departure from Belize
I have added an extension to the end of my main IE adventure.
Leave it to us. Our guest service staff are aware of your itinerary and will have the arrangements in place to connect you with your Extension. During your stay please discuss your departing transfer with your hotel host.
