Explore Southwater Caye Marine Reserve on Belize’s Southern Barrier Reef, a United Nations’ designated world heritage site. Days will be spent exploring lesser traveled areas of the reef by Stand Up Paddleboard and snorkel, discovering uninhabited islands, coral reefs, mangroves and abundant marine life. Nights will be spent in small, family run island lodges, enjoying breathtaking sunsets from the hammock on your deck, fresh seafood and local cuisine, and a comfortable bed and shower. This trip also includes an inland overnight adventure to the Tropical Education Center, with a specially-arranged (optional by donation) night tour of the Belize Zoo – a great introduction to native wildlife and Belizean ecology.

Day 1 - Welcome to Belize! Meet your group, settle into your forest cabana. Optional nocturnal zoo tour. Day 2 - Travel through the Maya Mountains before visiting our first island, Tobacco Caye. Introduction to safety in tropical marine environment, followed by snorkeling and SUP sessions and instruction. Day 3 – Stand Up Paddleboard the lagoons and reefs of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. Day 4 - SUP to Southwater Caye, the second island on this journey. Snorkeling stops along the way. Visit the Smithsonian Carrie Bow Caye Field Station. Day 5 - Discover the reef from a paddleboard, or through your snorkel mask. Day 6 - Paddle to Billy Hawk Caye’s Garifuna Fishing Camp for lunch and incredible off-shore snorkeling. Day 7 – Return by motor boat to mainland. Depart out of Dangriga, Belize today.
