Hike along lush rainforest trails to waterfalls and un-excavated Mayan ruin sites and descend an exhilarating 250ft waterfall rappel down Antelope Falls (optional). Trip Itinerary

Your adventure starts with a pick up in the coastal town of Dangriga, and a short 30 minute drive into the southern Maya Mountains. Situated in the middle of Mayflower Bocawina National Park, Bocawina Rainforest Resort is the perfect location to experience the broadleaf tropical rainforest and the amazing flora and fauna.
You'll start your trip by settling in and learning about the property and the experiences that lie ahead in the surrounding mountains and rainforest. You may want to sign up for the optional afternoon activities or a nocturnal hike.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Rise with the first light of day and experience the sounds of the jungle. Finding a quiet spot to sip a coffee is a sure way to soak in the morning and watch the resident Toucans.
After a hearty breakfast, the choice is yours. You can make a stop to the adventure center and get outfitted with a harness for an exhilarating adventure to rappel Antelope Falls or you can enjoy Belize's longest zip-line as you soar across 9 different runs, the longest being over 2300 feet!
You also have the option of exploring deeper into the Mayflower Bocawina National Park. The parks captivating network of trails offer something for everyone. The park features the family-friendly Bocawina Falls Trail or the Bird Loop, ideal for a leisurely hike. Adventure seekers can test their limits on the strenuous Big Drop Falls Trail, leading to a spectacular waterfall.
Note: Antelope Falls is a 2 pitch, 250 foot drop. A minimum of 100lb per participant. An alternative for families with children and those looking for a less strenuous experience, we recommend Bocawina Falls hike and rappel.

The choice is yours. A free day in the rainforest. Dawn a backpack, a cool drink and head out for a hike through one of the many rainforest trails throughout the park. Chase waterfalls and swim in natural emerald pools or relax around the lodge checking birds off your viewing list.
For the thrill seekers who experienced zip-lining during the day - we suggest the AfterDark zip-line adventure. It's exhilarating and a bit spooky but immensely enjoyable. Please book this adventure at least 24 hours in advance; a small fee applies as this is not an adventure on the regular schedule.

After breakfast, we travel to the coastal town of Dangriga to meet with a boat charter waiting to take you to Thatch Caye on the western side of the central barrier reef zone. This location is a stunning little private island is the perfect place to catch the sunsets over the Maya mountains.
Thatch Caye is a barefoot casual elegant resort. During your stay, you will have unlimited access to kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear, fishing poles, a sailboat, and other non-motorized island toys. The Grove serves delicious buffet-style meals under the Caribbean stars.
Three square meals a day (plus, all local alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks are also included here) are provided, but you have all the flexibility to design your day the way you see fit. Guided activities and Scuba diving are available for an additional charge. End each day at the Starfish bar, recounting stories of the day’s adventures.

For your last morning on the island, you wake up for morning yoga at Serenity Point. Grab a mask, snorkel, and fins to explore the saltwater natural pool. You can also swing in a hammock or relax by the beach for a slower pace. A motor boat will take you back to Dangriga after breakfast. A driver can take you back to the airport, where you can catch your domestic flight to your next destination.
Travel Notes: Travelers leaving Belize after this trip (day 6) require a short domestic flight from Dangriga to Belize International Airport (BZE). International connections require a departure after 1:30 p.m.
