Trip Arrival & Departure Information

Start Location: Belize International Airport.
Start Day: Tuesday
Start Time: Dependent on your arrival at Belize International Airport (BZE). Once you have completed the airport arrival sequence, you will meet with your Island Expeditions driver.
Departure Location on Day 2: Next to the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Terminal—SEE LOCATION
End Day: Sunday
End Time: 11:30AM
End Location: Islands Dock, Dangriga MAP OF DANGRIGA
Note: If planning to fly internationally on Sunday (Day 13)—your flight must be booked for 3:00PM or later. You will require a 15 min flight from Dangriga (DGE) to Belize International (BZE). Book directly with Maya Island Air or ask a trip planner for options.
Transfer Details:
Belize City to Lighthouse Reef: 2hr — BOAT
Belize City to Dangriga: 15min — FLY
Dangriga to Bocawina Resort: 30min — DRIVE
Dangriga to Glover’s Reef: 1hr 30min — BOAT
Communicating Once You've Arrived in Belize
Once you have arrived in the country, all communication transfers to our local team in Belize. If you need anything at all you can call our Dangriga office during regular business hours.

NOTE: The Belize International Airport (BZE) is easy to navigate. Expect the arrival process to take about an hour. Please be advised that the porters in the arrivals area are not employed by the Airport Authority. They charge for their services and can be pushy—you are not obligated to use their services!
