Scuba Diving On Your Trip

General Information

-Island Expeditions does not operate Scuba Diving; however, many of our guests still get out for dives while on our trips.

-Scuba Diving is available through local companies at neighbouring resorts and islands based on availability.

-Let us know in advanced if you are interested in diving during your stay at Tobacco Caye, Glover’s Reef, or Lighthouse Reef.

Guests deal directly with local dive operators including payment, liability, and waivers. Island Expeditions is not responsible for any scuba diving activities.

How It Works

Guests let us know in advance if they want to Scuba Dive.
The request goes onto your file.
Basecamp managers see the request when you arrive.
Basecamp managers help get you in contact with local dive operators in real time.
You may be required to pay a fuel surcharge for us to transport you to the dive operator at both Glover’s Reef and Lighthouse Reef.

We do our best to help guests arrange scuba diving; however, we can’t guarantee availability on every departure.

Divers Checklist

Certification Card (PADI, SSI, NAUI)
Credit Card for payment
BCD/Wetsuit size (if renting)
How much weight you require
Personal mask (highly recommended)

Lighthouse Reef Divers please be aware that to dive the Great Blue Hole, you will be required to do a “checkout” dive and must hold an Advanced Open Water certification.
