A Belize For Everyone
We Take Pride In Who We Are
Diversity is one of our most important core values here at Island Expeditions. We embrace the differences of all people on the planet. Our company is formed by women and men who reflect a broad range of ethnicities, languages, cultures, and values. It is this very diversity that makes us who we are today.
We truly believe that together we are stronger. Our LGBTQ guests and staff are an important part of our community. We take pride in providing the same high-quality service to all our guests and employees, no matter their religion, sexual orientation, gender, race, background, political or personal beliefs. Ensuring each and every guest and team member joining our adventures feels welcome, safe and respected is just what we do naturally.
LGBTQ RIGHTS IN bELIZE
In 2016 the Belize Supreme Court took a step forward to guarantee and protect the dignity and fundamental human rights of gay, lesbian, transgender, and queer people. It is now unconstitutional to discriminate people based on their sexual preference or gender identity. This is a historic victory for the human rights of LGBTQ community!
In the short time since this ruling, Belize has moved rapidly to guarantee human rights to the LGBTQ community and to ensure all citizens and visitors enjoy equal rights and protections. This commitment has already been ratified at the United Nations and this is just the beginning - we are certain these changes will bring about a positive outcome within the community and our country.
Our guests and employees feel safe and enjoy traveling without fear of being prosecuted for who they are or who they love. Our trips offer a meeting ground of equality, a safe space where people come together in search of fond memories, new friends, stories and pictures they will cherish for a lifetime. Life is an adventure, let’s all enjoy it together!
