Small
groups of like-minded people traveling together make a big
difference to the overall quality of your personal travel
experience. We have tailored our group sizes to ensure that
each individual is able to make the most of the regions where
we travel and the activities we engage in within the context
of a small group of like minded people traveling together.
On our wilderness trips each group is accompanied by a minimum
of two guides and any groups over 13 participants are accompanied
by three guides. This guide to participant ratio is not only
important to ensuring your safety and comfort but is also
a key factor in what you experience and learn on your adventure.
Group sizes range from 6 to 20 depending on the trip, please
refer to detailed trip itineraries for specific group size
minimums and maximums.
- On our expeditionary "moving" trips, we take upto a maximum of 13 guests.
- On our basecamp trips, we have extra capacity due to the camp facilities. We can take upto a maximum of 18 guests at our Glovers Reef basecamp, and upto a maximum of 20 guests on our Lighthouse Reef basecamp.
On
average, our guests are made up primarily of travelers from
all over the world, but most of them are from both Canada and the United States of America, plus more and more people joining us from Europe each year. They range in age from mid-20's to 70's.
A remarkable 40% of travelers to Belize with IEC are single
travelers with a slight majority being women.
Families
with children are common-place on certain programs and this
seems to most often coincide with spring breaks and holiday
periods. |
