 We
have recently finished our new lodge at the Tropical Education
Center. Individual forest cabanas are ideally situated in
the midst of the tropical pine forest with interpretive trails,
wildlife viewing platforms and a unique Interpretive Center
on site.
The
Tropical Education Center is also part of the renowned Belize
Zoo. Our stay includes a special night tour of the Belize
Zoo by donation ($10 US recommended), led by a senior zookeeper.
Organized around the theme of "a walk through the habitats
of Belize" with trails leading into pinelands, the forest
edge, rainforest and wetlands we are able to see first-hand,
the remarkable diversity of wildlife in the neo-tropics. The
Belize Zoo has gained an international reputation for it's
outstanding conservation  and
