Preparing for our 25th Season Specializing in Belize Vacations

2010/2011 Belize Season Preparations...

Over the last 8 weeks my team has been working hard to get the trip pieces in place for our upcoming 2010/2011 Season in Belize, and now Mexico. All group lodge and special site reservations have been confirmed by our suppliers. We are now receiving our new equipment orders and preparing them for container shipment to Belize ahead of the season opening. Over the next 3 to 4 weeks, guide and yoga instructor schedules will be finalized. This year our first trip begins earlier so I am scheduled to arrive in Belize the last week of October, right at the end of the tropical storm season. Once I arrive our Belize crew will open up our various store rooms. Vehicles, kayaks and motor boats get their first of many tune-ups for the season and then we will begin moving kayaks and trip gear into their required place around the country. The first base-camp to go in is at Glovers Reef Atoll Marine Reserve, a process that takes 12 people about 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Then we begin the process again at Lighthouse Reef Marine Reserve, later in the month. While that is happening our Southwater Caye Marine reserve crew will receive the first wave of lodge to lodge kayak and snorkel guests on the www.ParadiseIslands.travel adventure. The first four trips around the US Thanks Giving time are almost full and the space won't last long. Check out our trip specials pages to qualify for a $100 off the early season trips beginning before mid December. Fast approaching the end of summer and it is becoming apparent that this season is shaping up to be a busy one. Easter falls unusually late this coming year - April 22 to 25, 2011 and this means that March breaks across the US and Canada are spread out over the whole month of March. Some trips in March are already half full, so anyone planning on traveling during this traditionally busy period, I would suggest contacting us for details and availability. I am in the office (800-667-1630) answering phones until I leave, so give me a call. When you are planning your trip to Belize there is nothing more helpful than first hand, one on one, information right from the source . . . and for me there is nothing I like more than talking about Belize. Join us in Belize on our 25th season, exploring this remarkable country! Denver Willson-Rymer Expedition Director denver at islandexpeditions dot com
