Selling Island Expeditions Trips

• Below is helpful information about how our trips work including arrival and departure infomation and services included and not included on an Island Expeditions trip in Belize.

• On all IEC trips we meet you the day before the trip is scheduled to begin. This is day ‘0’ and it is for the convenience and comfort of your client. Day ‘0’ is your client’s day to arrive in Belize before the trip starts, meet their fellow travelers, and for them to acclimatize to their new tropical environment. Be it a short flight, an overland transfer, or a boat charter, your clients transportation on Day '0' from the Belize International airport to meet up with the group is included in the cost of the trip.

• If your clients are arriving into Belize prior to Day '0' we will not meet them at the airport on their arrival. Before their departure you will need to coordinate with our office their Day '0' trip rendezvous at an alternate location that is most convenient for your client depending on where they will be in Belize prior to the commencment of their Island Expeditions tour.

• Accommodations throughout the trip, from Day ‘0’ through to the last day of the trip are included in the trip cost.

• All group equipment and activities are included, except Scuba diving & snorkeling equipment. Scuba diving is available for certified divers on our Glover’s Reef, Coral Islands & Mayan Caves & Ultimate Adventure trips. The cost is $50.00 USD per dive.

• Trip activities may include: sea & river kayaking , snorkeling, diving, biking, hiking, fishing, caving, birding, photography, Mayan Ruin exploration, rainforest walks, etc.

• For trips finishing in Dangriga or Hopkins, transportation to Belize City is not included, and we will need to coordinate their return with you depending on their post-trip schedule. For those who are flying home the day after their trip finishes we generally recommend they purchase a short domestic flight from Dangriga direct to the International Airport at a cost of approximately $60 usd. Our office can easily make these arrangements for your clients as directed.

• We will provide your client with a comprehensive pre-trip package including information on Belize, a packing list, and important travel tips. Within this package, please pay special attention to medical/waiver forms. Your client must fill out the medical/waiver forms and return these to our office two weeks or more before the trip commences.

We provide a top-quality travel experience and offer good value. On an Island Expeditions adventure your clients can expect:

• Comprehensive pre-trip information package
• Services and transportation within Belize on the day before your trip starts.
• All meals and accommodations from day 0 to the evening of the last day
• Services of Island Expeditions Leaders and Licensed Belizean guides
• All group equipment, including sea & river kayaks, tents, field kitchen, VHF Radios and medical kit
• Transportation and transfers within Belize from day 0 to the afternoon of the last day
• Financial support for conservation and education programs in Belize
• We also pay for your clients hotel in Belize the night before the trip starts

Not Included:

• Airport Departure Tax of $35 US.(this amount may vary depending on the airline used)
• Personal equipment, snorkeling or dive gear
• For trips that finish in Dangriga or Hopkins transfer after trip to Belize City or International Airport
• Extra costs due to late arrivals, missed connections, inclement weather and other circumstances beyond our control

Our commission policy is flexible and starts at 10% for new agents and can be adjusted based on sales volumes or special circumstances.
