Understanding Day "0"
With Island Expeditions a seven day trip is a seven day trip, not two days of airline travel and 5 days of vacation. On all IEC trips we meet you the day before the trip is scheduled to begin. This is day ‘0’ and it is for the convenience and comfort of your client. Day ‘0’ is your client’s day to arrive in Belize before the trip starts, meet their fellow travelers, and for them to acclimatize to their new tropical environment. Be it a short flight, an overland transfer, or a boat charter, their transportation from the airport to meet up with the group is included in the cost of the trip.
Trips range from 3 to 10 days in duration and can be lodge based, camping, or a combination of both. Guests are met at the International Airport the day before the trip is scheduled to begin (Day ‘0’). Tours are all inclusive from Belize City, and all IEC trips include meals, accommodation, use of equipment, professional guiding services and transportation during the trip, unless specified.
